Emergency Meal Referrals

The current pandemic has created additional pressures for many throughout our community. In Edinburgh we are working with Edinburgh Council to provide meals to those who are struggling to access high quality, nutritious food. 

If you or someone you know needs emergency meal support, please contact Social Care Direct in the first instance. They have created a resource that will enable you to be directed to your local meal distribution organisation, or many other support services. We sadly are unable to take direct referrals for our meal production at this time. 

We are also running our Thursday lunch club outside our community cook school. This is an opportunity to collect a free hot meal and dessert, every week between 12 - 1pm.  You can find out more information about our lunch club on our community events page. 

We will continue to update our events calendar and social media pages as we work through the restrictions in place. We hope to welcome you back to one of our many community cook clubs in the future, but until then we hope to see you stop by on a Thursday, or during our community drop-offs arranged through the social care direct website.
