Enjoy an afternoon with Flowers by Isla, learning how to use sustainable wildflowers grown at our Green Skills Centre to create a beautiful bouquet to take home or gift to a loved one.

Be inspired by the verdant natural environment of our Green Skills centre and spend a day in nature with like minded people who are also keen to put their green thumb to work learning a new skill.

No prior experience or skills needed - just bring yourself!  Although please feel welcome to bring along your own scissors and secateurs to use if you would like to.

Light refreshments including tea, coffee and cake will be provided throughout the workshop. If you have special dietary requirements please get in touch with us and let us know!

The workshop cost contributes to the work Cyrenians do day in day out to tackle the causes and consequences of homelessness across Scotland.

Courses run from 13.30 - 15.30 each day.

About our events

Through booking a place on the class, you directly support the work we do with tackling the causes and consequences of homelessness.

Our Green Skills Centre is an outdoor learning environment for young people currently unsupported by the mainstream education system and traditional career pathways. Through building connections to the natural environment, and encouraging connections to the wider community we offer young people the space to grow, and find their own path forwards.

Location

This event will be taking place at our Green Skills Centre in Kirknewton, a short walk from the Military Museum and Jupiter Artland. Accessible through Lothian Buses via Wilkieston. Parking is available on location.
