Impact Report film nominated in Smiley Charity Film Awards
"Building Trusted Relationships", a short film produced as part of Cyrenians' Impact Report for 2023 has been nominated in this year’s Smiley Charity Film Awards.
The eight-minute film, directed by Bircan Birol and featuring staff, volunteers and supporters of Cyrenians, talks about the importance of enduring and trusted relationships and how people who have experienced trauma can be supported to learn to "speak trust as a second language."
Every year over 400 charities, CICs and social enterprises of all shapes and sizes, representing all sorts of causes take part in the Smiley Charity Film Awards. The Awards celebrate great film making that captures hearts and minds.
The Awards campaign helps organisations drive more views of their films, engage with their communities and generate positive media coverage. Over the past 6 years, they have generated millions of additional views of amazing charity videos. The average entrant more than doubles their existing video views, elevates their cause and engages new supporters.
On this nomination Director of Commercial and Trading Linda Kelly says:
"We are really proud of this short film. It captures how we build relationships to support people to live happy and fulfilled lives, and we hope as many people as possible can see this film to learn more about us and how we work. We would like to thank the filmmaker for representing us so well and the staff, volunteers and supporters who also contributed to the film."
