In Memory of Viki Fox

We are heartbroken to share the news of the death of our dear friend and colleague, Viki Fox.
Viki was an extraordinary person who brought warmth, courage and unwavering compassion to everything she did. She first joined Cyrenians as a volunteer and went on to dedicate 8 years to the organisation, most recently managing our LEAP and Women’s Recovery House services alongside her role within our Policy and Participation team.
A passionate advocate for recovery and trauma-informed practice, Viki’s influence extended far beyond Cyrenians. She played a key role in shaping services and systems that centre dignity, voice, and choice — not just within our own projects, but across the homelessness and recovery communities.
Viki was known and loved by so many: colleagues, friends, and people with lived experience of homelessness and addiction who were supported and inspired by her leadership. Her work with organisations such as Crisis, Homeless Network Scotland, and St Martin-in-the-Fields was just one part of her wider legacy — one rooted in empathy, integrity, and an unshakeable belief in people’s ability to change and grow.
We are in contact with Viki’s family and are supporting them as they decide how they would like her life and contribution to be honoured. In the meantime, we simply want to say: thank you, Viki.
You are already so missed.
