City Community
The City Community is a supported residential community for young people aged 16-30 experiencing homelessness. Based in North Edinburgh, the service combines accommodation with a relationship-based model that promotes participation, independence and wellbeing.
The 10-bed townhouse accommodates seven residents, supported by a team of experienced staff and six live-in volunteers who help create a stable and nurturing environment. Young people are actively involved in community life and decision-making, supporting the development of life skills, confidence and positive social networks.
The service is particularly suited to young people who would benefit from a supportive communal living environment where personalised support is available alongside opportunities for social engagement and personal development. The community-focused model enables residents to build resilience and work towards long-term housing stability and independence.
The City Community offers a valuable accommodation pathway for professionals seeking holistic, strengths-based support for young people experiencing homelessness.
