Home From Prison
The Home From Prison Project supports individuals in HMP Polmont and their families to maintain positive family relationships and reduce homelessness risk before and after release. The service recognises the important role that strong family connections can play in successful reintegration and long-term stability.
Working with both individuals and family members, the project provides practical, emotional and relationship-based support that helps families stay connected throughout a period of imprisonment and prepare for a positive transition back into the community.
The service is particularly relevant where there are concerns about relationship breakdown, housing insecurity or challenges that could impact successful resettlement following release. By helping families maintain communication and strengthen support networks, the project contributes to reducing homelessness risk and improving outcomes for individuals leaving custody.
Professionals supporting young people, families or individuals connected to HMP Polmont can contact mediationandsupport@cyrenians.scot to discuss the service and referral options.
