Falkirk Keep in Touch
Keep In Touch (KIT) is a suicide prevention and early intervention service designed to support individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts or who have previously attempted suicide. The service aims to prevent people reaching crisis point while they wait for specialist mental health support.
Delivered through a dedicated Wellbeing Worker, KIT provides a safe, non-judgemental space where participants can talk openly about their experiences and co-design support that meets their needs. Support is delivered at the individual's pace and focuses on building resilience, reducing isolation and improving access to appropriate psychological and community-based services.
The service is currently intended for people referred through GP practices or Mental Health Nurses and can be a valuable option for professionals supporting individuals who would benefit from additional emotional support while awaiting secondary care interventions.
