Community Link Worker - Edinburgh and Falkirk

Cyrenians' Community Link Worker Service provides non-clinical, person-centred support for people whose health and wellbeing are being affected by social, emotional, practical or housing-related challenges. Operating in both Edinburgh and Falkirk, the service helps bridge the gap between primary healthcare, community resources and wider support services, enabling individuals to address issues that may be impacting their quality of life.

Community Link Workers work one-to-one with individuals, taking time to understand their circumstances, strengths and goals before developing tailored support plans. The service supports people experiencing challenges such as homelessness and housing insecurity, social isolation, poor mental or physical health, financial hardship, low confidence, family difficulties, addictions, language barriers and relationship breakdown.

In Edinburgh, the service specialises in supporting people experiencing homelessness, helping them navigate complex systems and access healthcare, housing, benefits and community-based support. The role is designed to improve health outcomes and support long-term stability by addressing the wider factors affecting wellbeing.

In Falkirk, Community Link Workers work in partnership with local GP practices and community organisations to support people aged 16+ experiencing social, emotional or financial issues. Support may include connecting individuals with volunteering, employment, education, wellbeing activities and local services, as well as accompanying people to appointments where needed.

The service is particularly suitable for individuals whose needs extend beyond clinical interventions and who would benefit from coordinated, relationship-based support that strengthens health, wellbeing and community connection.
