Linburn Walled Garden

Linburn Walled Garden is a community-based wellbeing project supporting veterans, armed forces families and the wider community in West Lothian through therapeutic horticulture, outdoor learning and social connection. The service provides a non-clinical, strengths-based environment that promotes wellbeing, confidence, routine and community integration.

The project is particularly suitable for individuals who may benefit from increased social connection, purposeful activity, peer support and improved emotional wellbeing. Participants can engage in gardening activities, skills development opportunities, wellbeing workshops and community events within a safe and accessible outdoor setting.

Alongside structured activities, participants can access tailored signposting to specialist veterans' services and other local support, ensuring a holistic and person-centred approach. The project works collaboratively with veterans' organisations, community groups and statutory services, using the garden as a shared space for recovery, engagement and community participation.

Linburn Walled Garden can complement existing health, wellbeing, employability and veterans' support pathways by providing opportunities for connection, confidence-building and meaningful participation in a supportive community environment.
