Cyrenians and Trainline Partner to Support People Facing Homelessness

We're delighted to announce a new partnership with Trainline, bringing together two organisations that believe in the power of connection, opportunity, and community.

At Cyrenians, we know that strong connections can change lives. Whether it's helping someone into stable housing, supporting a young person to gain new skills, or providing community meals - connection sits at the heart of everything we do. Through this new partnership, Trainline will help us extend that impact and support more people facing homelessness, poverty, and social isolation.

Over the course of the partnership, Trainline colleagues will have opportunities to support Cyrenians through fundraising initiatives, volunteering and awareness-raising activities. Their dedication and commitment will help strengthen the support available through our services and create lasting positive impact within our communities.

This month, 12 members of staff from Trainline have already got stuck in volunteering at our Felix Depot, our surplus food depot in Seafield which supplies food to more than 117 community organisations. The Trainline volunteers helped distribute 7,845kg of food, which is the equivalent of 18,678 meals. For people facing hardship, this food can make a huge difference by taking pressure off stretched budget, providing stability and helping ensure support reaches those who might otherwise go without.

Every contribution made through the partnership will help Cyrenians continue delivering practical and compassionate support to people at some of the most challenging points in their lives including during hospital discharge with nowhere safe to go, leaving prison without a support network, substance abuse, domestic violence, gambling addiction, and more.

By investing in these services, Trainline will be helping more people access the support they need to move forward, build resilience and create positive futures for themselves and their communities.

We are excited about what we can achieve together over the coming months and years. Through shared commitment, creativity and collaboration, we believe this partnership can make a meaningful difference to the lives of people facing homelessness across Scotland.
