Community Pantries

If you're looking for an affordable way to access good-quality food, Cyrenians' Community Pantries offer a welcoming and dignified alternative to emergency food provision. Our pantries help individuals and families stretch their budgets while still having access to a wide variety of nutritious food, including fresh fruit and vegetables, chilled items and everyday cupboard essentials.

Community Pantries operate on a membership basis, giving people the opportunity to choose the foods that best suit their household rather than receiving a pre-packed food parcel. This approach helps reduce food insecurity while promoting choice, independence and dignity.

As well as helping reduce grocery costs, the pantries encourage people to try new foods, learn new recipes and connect with their local community. Members can also access recipe ideas through the Community Pantry Cookbook, created using ingredients commonly available through the pantries.

Whether you're managing on a low income, feeling the impact of rising living costs or recovering from a difficult period in your life, our Community Pantries provide practical support in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Membership is available at pantry locations across Edinburgh and surrounding areas, although spaces may be limited at some sites. To find your nearest pantry and check availability, visit our community events calendar or get in touch with the team.
