"I never realised being an old person was so much fun."
Cyrenians currently operate two services which support older people to lead active, independent lives within the local community. These services operate in Edinburgh & West Lothian Council areas:
Our dedicated teams of volunteers provide practical support and companionship to people aged 60 and over, offering encouragement to engage in social, leisure, community and physical activities and to enjoy life to the full!
In 2018, we supported 743 older people in the Edinburgh and West Lothian areas. 96 volunteers gave their valuable time and contributed a total of 8433 volunteering hours within our services!
We positively promote active and healthy ageing, working in partnership with XXXXXX in Edinburgh, and XXXXX in West Lothian.
We are generously supported by ………….. in Edinburgh, and in West Lothian a collaboration with West Lothian Council, West Lothian Health & Social Care Partnership and NHS Lothian.
