Across our 3 Community Gardens we support people to feel part of something, learn new skills, and create a place where people can feel close to nature.

About the role

This casual role will provide cover at both our Community Hospital Gardens (Royal Edinburgh and Midlothian) and at The Access Place Garden. Across the 3 locations your role will focus on:

  • Supervising groups to complete various tasks around the gardens
  • Supporting people to learn new skills
  • Maintaining attendance records and adhering to all health and safety procedures

About you

You’ll be a confident gardener and be able to listen and engage people in garden related projects and activities. You should also have:

  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to adapt to the needs of a broad range of people
  • Experience of working with people experiencing complex needs

You’ll be part of an experienced, knowledgeable team, with a supportive line manager.
