Our Survey says...
Relationships are at the heart of everything we do at Cyrenians, with those we support and those who support us too. That’s why it’s really important to us that we know how you feel!
With the help of ScotInform, we recently conducted a Supporter Survey and we were delighted with the uptake, giving us answers that represent a wide variety of supporter voices.
The survey aimed to better understand what you think of Cyrenians and the work that we do, so let’s see how we did...
Choosing to support Cyrenians
You described us as “compassionate”, “inclusive” and “local” - with half of you telling us that you support us because you want to make a difference where you live. A quarter of you are also interested in supporting Cyrenians through fundraising events, and we’d love you to get involved! So to make an impact in your local area, why not participate in the upcoming Edinburgh Kiltwalk on 15th September? The funds you raise will mean we can help even more people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Edinburgh and beyond!
34% also said that you would be interested in volunteering with us, which is another great way to give back to your local community. We have a wide range of roles to let you do this while meeting new people and learning new skills along the way. You can find our current opportunities here.
Your experience
We were delighted to hear that you felt that your donations are appreciated. However, we also recognise that some of you would like more information about how your donations are used.
Lots of you know about our work surrounding the themes of Home, Food, and Community already. But fewer of you were aware of our services focusing on Work, Family and Health. These areas are vital in preventing experiences of homelessness in the first place, through our Prevention and Early Intervention approaches. We also wanted to check we’re getting our communications right: the content, the frequency and the format. The survey showed us that most of you feel that we communicate with you the right amount.
