Mairi Cameron
Mairi Cameron is from Edinburgh born and bred, and delighted to join the Board of Cyrenians. She works for the British Council, following 8 years in the Scottish Government, beginning as a Policy Officer in the Self-directed Support team, before holding a variety of posts as part of the Scottish Governments Leadership Development Programme, including Private Office, Migration Policy, redesign of the Health and Social Care system, and Culture.
Her proudest achievement is founding and subsequently chairing the Women's Development Network, a community for woman in the Scottish Government to support, develop, and mentor more women into leadership positions. She is excited to bring her background in policy and politics, and passion for making real change for the people of Scotland to Cyrenians to further their ambition to address the causes and consequences of homelessness.
In her personal life, she loves to travel, walk her dog, play hockey and tennis, read, debate, puzzles and maths, and has an interest in psychology and the soft skills.
