We're looking for a volunteer translator to work with Vietnamese young people at our Lotus Community for unaccompanied young asylum seekers.

The volunteer translator will be available for a minimum of 5h a month to help translating info materials, newsletters and other written communications into Vietnamese, to ensure that all our resources are accessible for the Vietnamese speaking young people we work with.

Furthermore, the volunteer can choose to join community outings and activities to engage with the young people in their language. The volunteer would furthermore help with conducting occasional surveys.

You will need to be fluent in both English and Vietnamese, and you will be dealing with a lot of personal information so the need for confidentiality is paramount.

This is a home-based position offering excellent experience, references, and optional training with residential volunteers.
