Cyrenians at Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival
This month, Cyrenians will be taking part in Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival.
Taking place from 3-23 May - online at mhfestival.com and in regions across Scotland – the festival aims to support the arts, explore how engagement in the arts can help prevent mental ill health, and challenge mental health stigma. This year, the festival will explore the theme of ‘Normality?’
As part of the festival, the Scottish Centre for Conflict Resolution, established by Cyrenians, will be holding a free online workshop. ‘The Emotional Mix of 'Normality?' workshop will take place on Tuesday 11th May at 12pm. This bespoke event will explore SMHAF 2021’s theme of ‘Normality?’ through the SCCR’s digital resources and an expressive drawing activity. Find out more and book your place here.
Cyrenians also run HMP Addiewell Visitor Centre. This year, the team in collaboration with families and residents will be producing a series of ‘Postcards for Normality’, to be shared in person at the prison, through the weekly newsletter to families and loved ones, and online through Cyrenians’ social channels.
