Well known Scottish cookery and Food writer and baker extraordinaire Sue Lawrence will be leading a virtual baking class on Friday 9th July 3-5pm.
Sue will be showing you how to make her ultimate cheese scones and her delicious salted caramel brownies, just in time to tuck in for the weekend.
Sue is a long-standing friend of our community food projects, generously baking delicious goodies for us each week to include with the meals we were delivering to people across Edinburgh. These sweet treats fast became a firm favourite from those receving our meals, with many people commenting that the joy of a home-baked treat made them feel connected to others during a particularly difficult time.
Now's your chance to get your hands on Sue's recipe, and be taken step-by-step through the process. Whether you're a first-time baker, or a dab-hand in the kitchen, this class is for you!
Why Virtual Community Kitchen?
When you attend one of our Virtual Community Kitchen events, you directly support the work we do with people taking the first steps on their own food journeys. This includes classes on how to cook healthily on a low budget, a flatpack meal service, an outdoor lunch club offering free meals for people to take away as well as doorstep meal deliveries for people with no access to food or funds.
Our social enterprise cooking classes are where Edinburgh’s food lovers come to learn from expert cooks.
