FareShare

Our Fareshare Depot in Leith is a thriving surplus food hub connecting local community to good quality food that otherwise would have been sent to landfill.

From packaging printing errors, to over-ordering issues, we work with major retailers and suppliers such as The Co-op, Tesco and Asda to redirect high quality food to those who need it most.

As part of the UK Fareshare network we are committed to reducing food waste and tackling food inequality – but we can’t do it alone.

Our community food members work with us to turn our food deliveries into delicious and nutritious meals, reaching out to those who need it most. From veterans’ groups, to breakfast clubs, community centres to community homes – our community food members are connected to members of the community who may not have access to other means. By connecting together, we are able to create a network of support, ensuring no one ‘slips through the net’.

Partnership working is essential to our ethos, from working with organisations to provide low-cost food, allowing them to redirect essential funds to their core-work, to developing innovative projects in-house ensuring dignified access to food and period products. We are more than just a food surplus network.

If you’re a local business who would like to work with us, or a community organisation interested in becoming a member, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact us using the enquiry form below to get started.
